Develop skills in one or more construction areas with a wide choice available.
Choose from painting & decorating, carpentry & joinery, bricklaying, electrical services, plumbing, tiling, plastering, dry lining or a multitrades approach.
You will learn key health and safety legislation, how to conduct yourself on a construction site, how to use hand and power tools and how to use a range of techniques to achieve a required result.
Work domestically, for the local authority or on major construction sites - construction is a wide and varied career pathway and once you have learnt your trade you will be employable the world over as well as having excellent skills should you decide to pursue self employment in the future. You may even work your way up to supervisor or management.
You will learn functional skills including English and maths if you do not currently have the required GCSE grades and develop wider skills such as problem solving, teamwork and communications skills.
