If you are good with people then customer services may be the ideal choice for you.
One of the most vital roles within any business to customer organisation, customer services requires a great deal of patience, integrity and the ability to keep your cool under pressure.
You may choose to work as a Customer Service Advisor, Customer Service Operator, Call Centre Advisor, Help Desk Operative or Service Agent. You could opt for a patient facing role in the NHS, a helpdesk position in a major retail store or work in a call centre. Career options are wide and varied. You may even work your way up to team leader or management.
You will learn about different types of customers, their needs, wants and expectations, and you will develop a good understanding of equality and diversity and legislation & regulations that govern the industry.
You will learn how to communicate with customers using appropriate communication channels, resolve customers’ problems and complaints, build relationships with customers and upsell additional products and services with the ability to improve self-learning and performance.
When undertaking this apprenticeship you will also develop personal growth through personal, learning and thinking skills (PLTS) and you will gain a meaningful qualification in Customer Services along with a Functional Skills qualification in English and maths if you do not have the required GCSEs.
