Recruitment consultants have huge earning potential so this can be a potentially lucrative and rewarding career for the right candidate.
You will need to be outgoing and confident, with the ability to create good, working relationships with people at all levels, from your candidates looking for work through to senior managers.
You will learn all about the administrative processes behind recruitment, relevant laws relating to data protection and equality and diversity and understand how to write job advertisements, attract the right candidates and match them to the right employers. Most importantly you will learn and develop good sales skills which will be transferrable to any sector.
A lot of your time will be spent on the telephone building up relationships with existing clients and sourcing new leads. You will also have face to face meetings with clients and candidates; this really is a job where your personality will take you a long way.
You may also decide to work in the human resources sector, assisting in the administration and recruitment of candidates for a business or public sector organisation.
