Our trade courses are great for multiskills persons, experienced carpenters and joiners looking to develop their skills further and complete beginners alike.

  • You may cover the following, depending upon the length of your chosen course:
    • How to use woodworking tools safely
    • How to construct woodworking joints
      • Undertake basic carpentry repairs
      • How to construct a frame from these joints
    • Select suitable fixings to carry out carpentry work
      • Install mortice locks, night hatches and overhead
        & hidden door closers
    • Measure, cut and install architraving
    • How to install skirting boards using internal, external and scribed mitres
    • Install door furniture (hinges and latches)
    • Undertake a project to construct a table and
      learn to engrave
Course Length: Choose from 1, 2, 3 and 4 weeks.
Accreditation: Cskills L1 Accreditation is available 
Location: Harold Wood, Essex
Funded Option: AEB for people on certain benefits

You could decide to go on to an NVQ level 2 or 3, assessed in the workplace, or specialise in a particular area of carpentry & joinery such as shop fitting or furniture making.

2 Weeks Professional Basic - £995
3 Weeks Professional Intermediate – £1550 
4 Weeks Professional Advanced - £1950
