This qualification is aimed at learners working within a business and administration role who wish to improve their knowledge and skills in a variety of work environments and sectors. It forms the knowledge and competency requirements of the Intermediate Apprenticeship Framework in Business Administration. This qualification can be undertaken standalone or as part of a larger programme of study.

Through this qualification you will develop your confidence, gain better communication skills, develop professional business document production and presentation skills, increase your office skills, increase your performance and productivity, gain better knowledge of customer service and improve your planning and organisation skills.

You will cover:

  • How to use a diary system, understand procedures for welcoming visitors and improve your planning and organisation
  • Collecting, analysing, storing and presenting both effectively
  • Understand your customers' needs and wants and know how to respond appropriately to their questions and comments
  • Learn the basics of working in a business environment including using Microsoft Office software packages to present information
  • Discover how to provide support and direction to colleagues, build a team and plan and manage change
