Hairdresser/barber
There are over 40,000 hair salons in the UK so there’s a big need for hairdressers and barbers. Many hairdressers and barbers start off as an apprentice and then become junior stylists before progressing onto an NVQ to become a fully qualified stylist. Some then progress onto salon management.
Drink Water
Our number one tip is to sty hydrated, and this means drinking water, preferably mineral water, and avoiding sugary drinks, alcohol and other drinks that may actually end up dehydrating you.
You can be creative
You can develop your knowledge of makeup techniques, hairstyles and nail technology and really let your creativity go. Hair and Beauty really encourages uniqueness and give you a fantastic opportunity to try something new.
